TOAST – ON WEDDING

                                                              SATURDAY   JUNE 17TH, 2000

THEME :     GRADUATION TO A MARRIED LIFE

   

                               This theme on   graduation is a very thrilling theme as any graduation   underscores a milestone in our lives. When we graduate ,we progress to next level of     growth and achievement.

1.           A graduate is an embodiment of human spirit for higher and better aims in life.

2.           A graduate is a person who signifies hope in our march to progress. A graduate represents a mould that we as a society has developed so that we can be assured of quality product and services.  

3.           When a young daughter is   graduated to next level of her life , we are confident of a good , well rounded and mature   young lady in the making.4.           There is twinkling in the eyes of a graduate.5.           A graduate is like a butterfly. Butterflies pass through two main stages of development throughout their life cycle: larvae and adult. The transformation into adult butterfly results in a colorful and a very active and useful living organism. The butterfly is pleasing to our eyes and also carries out functions which are helpful in pollinating various flowers and other plants.  

6.           A graduate transforms from a novice to an expert like a butterfly. The expert  

becomes our saviour in many situations and help the civilisation ticking and  progressing.7.           A graduate is a bud transformed into a beautiful and an aromatic flower. She  has excitement , and rose colored eyes looking to future with optimism.

So please join me and raise a toast to our graduate, who , with her enthusiasm and  optimism will make her family and friends   proud and looking forward to a higher plateau  in the days to come.

3.When a Toastmaster is graduated to CTM level we are confident of a good ,well thought out and titillating speech and conversation which at once is inspiring and also entertaining.

Toast – Summer Vacation

Toast     –     Toastmasters Club ( Chalk River Laboratories )       Wednesday : June 28th,   2000  Theme for to-day”™s   meeting   is :  Summer Vacation  Wow ! The summer has finally arrived . Look at the gorgeous days . Birds are chirping and flowers are blooming. The sound of kids playing outside and their vigour to enjoy every minute of summer is very visible   and touching. The skate boarders and their tribe   is showing their strut   everywhere   . Isn”™t this fun!!  Summer brings out that freedom feeling. No more heavy and clumsy winter jackets and boots. We can all put on our shorts and sleeveless shirts and gorgeous hats with sandals on the feet.  The garden is blooming with flowers . The flora and fauna are buzzing with colorful butterflies and bees everywhere. The morning view from window is very uplifting The   growth of plants and green foliage display the God”™s creation which brings Contentment in our hearts.  Summer is away from the virtual world to the real world. Who can remain in virtual world and really be alive ?   Summer brings reality back in life. We get to know our neighbors and enjoy barbecues and play games with them.  

What a content life !  Summer is when young people stroll and wonder around at beaches , visit meadows and fall in love . This is the stuff from which eternal stories and songs are created.

Sun shinning bright,
Body feeling the warmth,
Eyes feeling the light,
Energy draining fast,
Loving a summer day,
But don’t know,
How long I will last,

Spring has arrived and with that
We hear birds chipping,
Snow melting and sound of
Children in the streets.

What an exhilarating sight!

Spring resurrects hope and
Restores humanity in our hearts
It”™s a time for renewal and a
Time to come out of winter hibernation
What an exhilarating feeling!
