POEM – My Funeral (lyrics)
My Funeral
It’s time to own up
This is no time for if or but
A moment in one’s life
That we cannot escape
What I cannot understand
Why we bother !
When I go I want no disturbance
I know , I know it’s not in my hands
We are at the mercy of destiny
Safe smooth passage or with medical hiccups
The end is waiting
For me it is a safe harbour
I do not have anything to lose
The garden left behind is wonderful

Rejoice as I cross the line
I do not bemoan
I have had wonderful family
All loving grandchildren
Ready to take on the world
Improve and make it comfortable
View from the window very comforting
My garden left behind is satisfactory
Why we need more
That I cannot understand
I am happy with my effort
Understood my limitations
Have not stopped though
My service to community
Appreciate others who do much more
Humble gratitude to all
Let us bow our heads to good souls

I am a speck in the world
Fluttering here and there
My Guardian Angel gave me moorings
Shree Jalaram remains steady
Always present to provide support
He made my life so colorful
Providing pull and push as needed
All barriers eliminated when necessary
Passage in life made easier
From one continent to another
Shree Jalaram remained steadfast
What a delight and comfort
So rejoice – when I cross the line
I then can humbly be with Shree Jalaram
That’s the best prize anyone can have
From young age to now
I experienced Shree Jalaram’s presence
It’s time that I gracefully go
To directly thank my Saviour!
Rejoice and celebrate the life experienced
