Well, the joyous news of impending arrival of a grand child was spread to friends locally yesterday and to family in England and Kenya to-day.
The sentiments are definitely tingling . A bit of nervousness is there till all goes well. The arrival of the grand child is charted for 2007 August. Nina & Sunjay are fine .
As grandparents to be , we do have to keep our composure and a balance in excitement. I am definitely very excited and looking forward to use my retirement time ( starting from 2007 April 17) with the grand child (of either gender) – a quality time if that is feasible.
I do express my heartfelt “many thanks’ to Shree Jalaram for such good news and looking forward to enjoy this beautiful gift.

Grandfather – irrationality
It is one of those things in life – when one comes to a reality – that one has already arrived at a time in life when one is devoid of any ambition to achieve any more goals in life.
I have begun to understand as to where I have got to and what I have done and achieved in my life .
When compared to all that has been achieved (and for that matter not achieved) – in career or finances or relationship – nothing beats the wonderful bequest/arrival of Grandchildren who epitomise as what one leaves behind as a legacy.
My four (4) grandchildren – two (2) of them near and two (2) a bit further away in Toronto – do monopolise all the fields that amuse me and those which make me happy.
I see and enjoy their growth and achievements everyday and their journey in this life . They are still tiny but in their short life they are picking up skills which I never dreamt of when I was that age or even after that.
I go ga ga when I observe at age 4 or at age 6 – a grandchild is hurtling down Mount Martin Ski Hill in Deep River or Mount Pakenham hill at a speed which would thrill anyone .
