2007 New Year Resolution

In order to limit consumption of sugar, a resolute discipline is required! What better way then to make a New Year Resolution and follow that religiously. Ha! Ha! Seriously, I need to smother my sweet tooth syndrome so I can keep my diabetic (Type 2) tendency in check.

Here is my resolution for 2007.

Avoid the dessert table and/or dessert dishes. Keep a safe distance from these and do not go on a sly to buy or partake these away from all those knowing eyes.

2004 New Year Resolution

2004 New Year Resolution:

Tick! Tock!     Tick! Tock!

The clock moved! The world turned!

Alas! The New Year has arrived

Man stirred in bed to confront the New Year

Tick! Tock!     Tick! Tock!

View thru windows does not give man comfort

A disconcerting gloom beams in for rapport

Man shriveled back in bed with his comforter

Tick! Tock!     Tick! Tock!

Kids pitter-patter in the hall making notes

Chorus of “we want this and that” is jotted

Man moans of responsibility in changing world

Tick! Tock!     Tick! Tock!

TV screams of bombers with suicidal tendency

B Bombers and Apache helicopters on the roll

Man helpless caught in far away war and toll

Tick! Tock!     Tick! Tock!

World has gone insane & macabre

2004 needs to be traversed with sanity

Man needs to be resolute to keep his capacity

Tick! Tock!     Tick! Tock!

The daily grind needs tackling with determination

Change is Constant, which needs adaptation

Man needs to resolve to be open, care and share

Tick! Tock!     Tick! Tock!

2004 New Year Resolution simple and humane

Adapt, seek and reach out, have faith in humanity

Man determines to survive with full glow of life.
