I have embarked on writing a few words on all the books that I may read in my retirement. I will reread few books which I read over last few years – this to allow me to capture some good essence from the readings.
Normally, I exhibit a bad habit to not pay much attention to book titles and authors name. So I hope this venture will help to correct that deficiency in my habits.
Recently I have completed the book by Dr. Vincent Lam . Dr. Vincant Lam is a practicing physician and provides emergency medical support. I came to read this book as my daughter,Nina (she is a pharmacist), wanted to read it and thus asked her mom to obtain the book from the Town Library.
Thus the book came home – which provided me an opportunity have a peek and I was immediately hooked.
The book is well written and provides the trials and tribulations that young graduating doctors go thru. Also issues, decision making and dangers which are confronted by the practicing doctors working in hospital emergency departments . We are really fortunate that such medical support is available to us in Canada.
The book is well worth reading to delve into stressful life that medical personnel go thru everyday when they are on duty – which seems to be at all times. Their committment requires our appreciation.
Postscript: My daughter has to wait her turn to read this book. Sorry, Nina.
