My Financial Resolutions for 2004
1.0 Set up a system.
Getting organized requires a physical setup as well as a new mental attitude.
Folders for :
· Deductible expenses
· Banking
· Investments
· Tax-related items
2.0 Bank online.
3.0 Track everything financial online.
4.0 Get out of debt.
5.0 Review your RRSP & RESP allocations.
6.0 Check your insurance coverage.
9.0 Check your estate plan.
· Look at setting up a revocable living trust
· Set up or check your will
9.0 Set new goals.
· Follow this rule: “Set no goal you can”™t control!”
· As you list your goals, include plans for achieving those goals.
9.0 Make a contact list.
· If you”™re trying to change your life, do some networking
· Be ready to introduce yourself to strangers
10.0 Pick one new project — and get started.
· Nothing is more motivating than a sense of accomplishment
· So pick one task — and start right now
And one last bit of advice:
Count your blessings, not your assets. And don’t stress out over resolutions — just do them!
