Prayer for the bliss of the departed soul - Mr. Harry Beck, dear husband of our friend Rima & loving father to his daughters (Maya & Maria).
A loss of a loved one and especially a loving youthful husband and delightful father is always painful. A companion is lost for no reason. The sorrow is gripping and ever present. Good memories and a passage of time will help to accept the pain but difficult to ignore.
During his short journey on this earth, Harry was a very loving father and a husband. He was always there as a helping friend to many. Many will cherish his charm and soft manners.
According to Hindu and Jain philosophies, soul never dies. And the departed loved one was not just a physical body that has died but his real self, his soul and his spirit, lives on.
I have selected the following from the writings in Bhagavad-Gita; Lord Krishna says :
For the soul, there is neither birth nor death at any time.
He has not come into being,
does not come into being,
and will not come into being.
He is unborn, eternal, ever existing and primeval.
He is not slain when the body is slain.
He has not come into being,
does not come into being,
and will not come into being.
He is unborn, eternal, ever existing and primeval.
He is not slain when the body is slain.
As a person puts on new garments, giving up the old ones,
the soul similarly accepts new material bodies,
giving up the old and useless ones.
The soul can never be cut into pieces by any weapon,
nor burnt by fire,
nor moistened by water,
nor withered by the wind.
The individual soul is unbreakable and insoluble,
and can be neither burnt nor dried.
He is ever-lasting,
present everywhere,
unchangeable,
immovable
and eternally the same.
It is said that the soul is invisible,
inconceivable, and immutable.
Knowing this, you should not grieve for the body.
Let us pray to the God Almighty,
•Receive our prayers for Harry.
•Receive him into your everlasting heavenly world
•Bless him with inner peace
•Enable him to realize our love
•Enable him to realize Rima’s, his daughters’ (Maya & Maria), his family’s & friend’s immense love & respect
•Provide Rima & the family the strength to weather this loss and keep their memories intact.
Amen!
Please accept our heartfelt Condolences!
Jackie & Pravin Shah family.
Disaster is a great leveler!
