Israel/Palestine Conflict

The continuous fight between the Israelis and the Palestinian is like a cockfight, all gone mad and spectators looking in with disdain. The heart bleeds to see two great peoples locked into never ending clashes. How can we digest the fact here is the land where the Son of God (Lord Jesus Christ) appeared and later the messenger of God (Prophet Mohamed) came twice to Jerusalem bringing words and wisdom of God to all?

Now, we seem to have all gone back to zero. Nothing seems to be sacrosanct. The Church of Nativity seems under siege. Mosques and Synagogues are also threatened.

I believe for peace to happen there, the following is required. There needs to be some generosity and give and take for lasting and meaningful peace to occur.

Israel, being the dominant and stronger of the two, can take the initial initiative and renounce clearly their intention of expanding into Palestinian lands (which includes the stoppage and removal of progressive encroachment of the Palestinian land by settlements).

The Palestinians can announce the acceptance of the Israel state and renounce any suicide or other terrorist activities. Also Palestinians will need to absorb most of the refugees in the new state of Palestine.  These people will then have a chance of coming out of perennial sub-human camps and work towards improving their and their children’s lives to modern progress

Can this be feasible?  Yes, if Israel wants Shalom and Palestinian wants freedom and development.  We will continue to pray for their wisdom and our survival from   doomsday scenario.
