Toast   -   Toastmasters Club ( Chalk River Laboratories )    Wednesday : June 28^th,  2000 Theme for to-day’s  meeting  is : Summer Vacation Wow ! The summer has finally arrived . Look at the gorgeous days . Birds are chirping and flowers are blooming. The sound of kids playing outside and their vigour to enjoy every minute of summer is very visible  and touching. The skate boarders and their tribe  is showing their strut  everywhere  . Isn’t this fun!! Summer brings out that freedom feeling. No more heavy and clumsy winter jackets and boots. We can all put on our shorts and sleeveless shirts and gorgeous hats with sandals on the feet. The garden is blooming with flowers . The flora and fauna are buzzing with colorful butterflies and bees everywhere. The morning view from window is very uplifting The  growth of plants and green foliage display the God’s creation which brings Contentment in our hearts.  Summer is away from the virtual world to the real world. Who can remain in virtual world and really be alive ?  Summer brings reality back in life. We get to know our neighbors and enjoy barbecues and play games with them. 

What a content life ! Summer is when young people stroll and wonder around at beaches , visit meadows and fall in love . This is the stuff from which eternal stories and songs are created.

Sun shinning bright,
Body feeling the warmth,
Eyes feeling the light,
Energy draining fast,
Loving a summer day,
But don’t know,
How long I will last,
Taking it all as it comes,
Knowing it will stay,
Soon the blooming of mums… Please join me to raise a  toast to the Summer Contentment To Summer Contentment
