The Editor,
The North Renfrew Times
Deep River, Ontario
Sir,
Unborn Child
In recent weeks, due to deliberations before the Supreme Court of Canada, the subject of the childbirth and abortion has once again come to the top of agenda for Ontario/Canada discussions.
Though currently I am coming to Deep River on a transfer and in the midst of the move, I have composed the following attached poem titled “Cry of Unborn Child” which tries to capture the feelings from the perspective of the new life conceived on a mother’s womb.
Please accept my apologies for not having it typed as I have not settled here and my things are in boxes between the move.
If you find it appropriate, please publish it in the Renfrew Times under my “by line” name McShah.

P.S. In future, I intend to contribute articles on current events from the perspective of other cultures especially Jain/Hindu –Indian Subcontinent cultures. I request your support and encouragement, if that is in line with your objectives.

CRY OF UNBORN CHILD - A Poem
Though unborn, mom , your child
I have gift of love, my own
Your love only I ask in return
Tough times we can weather together
I give reason for you to hang in
You remain my reason to come to life
Innocent me, God’s gift to you
Let us not look to who fathered me
Though unborn, mom, your child
Canada needs me and others unborn
Lest you will be without love in old age
Tough times we can weather together
My mom powerful to give life
My mom abort will not my life
Innocent me. God’s gift to you
Aborted me, no use except in cosmetics
Alive, I provide support all around
Canada needs me and others unborn
My mom, I need you
My mom, you need me
My mom powerful to give life.
